ChangeOver Switch, also known as a combination switch, is a plane operation that rotates left and right. The transfer switch is mostly used for the introduction switch of power supply in the electrical control circuit of machine tools, playing the role of isolating power supply, and can also be used as a control switch that directly controls the infrequent start and stop of small-capacity asynchronous motors. Transfer switches are also available in single, double, and triple poles.

Operation

◆ The changeover switch drives the shaft and cam to make or break the contact by its handle. Its cam shape is different. Thus, when the handle is in different positions, the contacts are different, so as to achieve the purpose of the conversion circuit.

◆The operation positions of the handle of the changeover switch are indicated by the angles. And different types of the switches have different contacts.

Structure

◆The changeover switch is composed of multiple groups of operating mechanism, positioning device, contact, contact system, rotating shaft,handle and other components.

◆The changeover switch’s contact, the double break contact bridge structure, is in the insulated base. The moving contact is designed to be the automatically adjustable style to ensure that the contact can be closed and broken at the same time. Besides, the static contact is installed in the contact seat. When used, it relies on the cam and bracket to operate and control the closing and breaking of the contact.

The lower limit of ambient temperature : ≥ -5℃

When the highest temperature reaches +40℃, the relative air humidity shouldn’t  be more than 50%. Higher relative humidity is allowed in the relatively lower temperature, such as 90% humidity in 20℃. The measure should be taken to deal the condensation occasionally caused by the temperature change.

The surrounding environment should be clean without the flammable and dangerous substances, gases that can damage insulation and metal, and conductive dust.
